Hi, We are contemplating going to a centre that specialises in OT, Osteopathy/Cranio and they also use the Theraputic Listening system where needed. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad?

We do it. I'm not 100 per cent sure about it but my child's tolerance for loud and challenging sounds has increased. We use ear defenders less. Weirdly her writing improved after we first started it.

It's really hard to know what would have happened anyway so it's impossible to really judge.

I have a friend whose DD is currently doing sensory integration therapy at Maximum Potential. She was very much interested in trying therapeutic listening, which they do there. However, the therapist cautioned her and mentioned they would only try it out if there wasn't much progress with sensory integration therapy. The therapist also mentioned that the therapeutic listening may be a bit too intensive.

My friends son got on well with it. He seemed to be able to read aloud easily whilst listen to the music! It seemed v calming

I did something called berard AIT with my son which was a 10 day thing. There are a couple of threads on here if you are interested in it..
