Ok so my partner has been best friends with someone with asperges since age 4. Initially if you met them both together you would think they are very different. His friend clearly has asperges and physically you can see this. He is also quite blunt and sometimes appears rude although he doesnt mean to be. My partner is very different and its only a now a year onto relationship i suspect he has ocpd and my question is do you think there is a connection ie. As a child with ocpd would he have been drawn to his friend and had a strong friendship because they share similarities (my partnter is intelligent, works ectremely hard, perfectionist, a little self righteous, has "to the right thing", very ungenerous with money, loves rules n spreadsheets.

What's ocpd?

Anyone can be friends with anyone if they get on. I'm not sure why you're questioning their friendship!

My ds has a few friends. They share the same interests. Some have the same diagnosis and some are nt.

Not something diagnosed lightly.

The irony being that the OPs diagnosed her husband with it.

And can physically see autism.
