Thinking back, when did you first notice sensory behaviour/struggles?

Do they occur from birth or develop over time? Can anything trigger them or is it more neuro-developmental?

Just thinking back to the very early days and DD waking at the slight smell of cooking and even at the sound of a teaspoon stirring much needed cups of tea! Certainly by 3 sensitivities to sound we noticeable and she loved soft textures. Later developed dislike of rough textures/clothing. From around 18 months became v fussy with food and disliked certain textures and smells. Nervous around certain flashing lights. Started licking objects/me in or after social situations.

How early can signs appear? When did you notice?

DD was distressed by noise from 15 months, I can clearly remember her having a meltdown with the musical noise of her newborn baby brothers swing which had to be switched off as she just couldn't cope

From birth with my son. Even a branch lightly tapping on a window would make him freak out and he took years to loose his startle reflex
