How do you snap out of it when feeling down/exhausted?

I need to snap out of it. I think I have more low and tired days than good currently. I know things could be so much worse though, I appreciate that.

If I can I run. I swear that's the only thing that keeps me vaguely sane!

I like zzz idea about writing what you have done!

I'm shattered today and feeling poorly. Just text my dh for some chip shop chips, want to pig out and watch trash tv :(

We've resorted to a few take-always recently! Sometimes you just need it!

Getting out does help doesn't it, and sunny days.

We've had a good day today but my DD has been soooo hyper ALL DAY!! I'm exhausted. We've been out and about but it's not always easy. DD is a constant chatterbox (ironic considering she has Selective Mutism) and does not stop. She is also quite sensory and into touching soft objects and smelling everything. I feel like a have a toddler sometimes as she can be unpredictable and v lively. Love her to pieces though, she's amazing with such an interesting character and cheeky sense of humour.

I'm so tired though of the defiance and aggression. Also sad when she cannot speak and is anxious.

Glass of wine this evening on the go at the moment!!! ;-)

Again, I will pm you when I have more info about my dd but has she had a Sensory assessment? After a verbal report on my dd I think it sounds like it would be useful to you? Obviously haven't tried or got my head round any of it yet but got to get reading up on it all..

Could it be more than just being low and tired; like depression? Do you have any of the other symptoms like early morning waking, under/over eating....?

Blossom4538 · 25/08/2017 16:22

I think a may be slightly depressed and times but it's manageable. I keep an eye on it though - there are times when I feel perhaps a GP visit is in order, but I've not been to date and seem to be coping.

No early waking, if anything, up too late and can't wake up! I do comfort eat or diet and go strict at times but at the moment I feel eating habits are all good really overall.

I worry a lot, which is draining. I never feel good enough.
