I have just had a letter posted to me stating that my daughters previous school in staffs have contacted kent HA to see why my dd hasnt had her physio notes requested yet. I have been nagging for her to be seen by a physio but to no avail (still havent seen the SALT)

Well letter says you will receive physio at your dd's new school in september.

April to september = no physio....makes perfect sense Angry

OK girls glocester or dorset best for SN services?Smile

Good luck with your move Fio2, hope you get better service elsewhere.

I cant beleive I used to moan about staffs. I mean they were a bit dire but they were all for early years intervention and I could complain at all about dd's old SN nursery. Full time, physio, salt, transport provided without a fight, hydro, riding for the disabled etc. Here they would rather spend money on having the streets swept 3 times a day Angry

I meant gloucestershire aswell, didnt want to correct myself as it already looks like I talk to myself on this thread!

Oh well it was worth a try....

tamum · 17/07/2004 21:19

What a bummer. Have you asked Caroline5 about her experiences? I think Bunglie is in Dorset, so maybe ask her if she had any views? Can't think who else would know, but it's hard to see how it could be much worse than this, is it

coppertop · 17/07/2004 21:48

What a b*gger about Kent. April-September with no Physio at all???

Sorry, I have no idea about the other 2 places (not even going to attempt to spell the one beginning with G! )

fairyfly · 17/07/2004 21:52

Oh dear, sorry fio

Fio2 · 18/07/2004 10:58

can I just say thank you to the lovely mumsnetter who keeps e-mailing me with info about dorset (the actual area we are moving to) and helping me. She has found me the two main special schools and has helped me no end with finding out the areas down there etc. She really is lovely but I dont know if she wants me to say who it isSmile its kittypickle, shes lovely.

anyway I have just about had enough of this nonsense here. bad move I think. Thanks evryone for your support I really do appreciate being able to come on here and just get it off my chest! Even if there is nothing i can do about it.

Hi Fio....so that's why they don't sweep the streets in Stoke .

Seriously though, sorry to hear that you're having such a hard time of it, sounds like a move to Dorset isn't such a bad thing. In fact we were there on holiday last week and it was lovely, despite the rain.

Caroline5 · 19/07/2004 00:35

Sorry fio to be no use again (haven't been on here since last week). I think Glos. is pretty good overall, although we haven't been anywhere else with dd, so can't compare. dd gets physio at school but they are quite short staffed I think, however we didn't have a long wait. dd gets very limited SALT, although there is a very nice SALT at her school. Her school is lovely, I could not criticise it! It's not near Tewkesbury though.

Sorry you are having such hassles.
