I an so pissed of
dd's phisio has just rung to say that after easter she will have a new one, something to do with maternity leave and cases being moved about. so yet again they move dd(same thing happened with ot)
now I know that dd will do well with new phisio and is alredy excited by the idea.
BUT it is why she was moved that gets me because she is an ameanable(sp) girl!
so if she screamed and shouted she wouldn't have been moved?
also It has made me feel like I have no control on anything what the school says goes.
Her phisio is lovely and "gets" dd so why oh why does it have to change.
(I know it does thats life. old phisio will work closely with new to do change over)
who knows why I am so pissed of cos I don't

2shoes I do sympathise. Quite honestly if my caseload was being moved around if I had a lovely amenable child on it they would be the last one I would let go of!

But although I dont know where you live, no doubt your trust is going through the same shit we are, and everything is being taken out of their hands.

Ive been told I might lose my geographical patch if a neighbouring trust takes it back on, and our therapy department may get split up and we will have to work within different teams and lose the professional support we get from being therapists in the same office.

Not much use to you I know, but if you or anyone else is experiencing this kind of thing, its not our choice - most therapists prefer children to have as much continuity as possible!

it is the phisio at school.
I have calmed down now. and think i just need to go into the school and talk to someone. I just don't understand why I was so upset(weird I know)

Change is not always for the better, especially for our children. Very hard for them to adjust. Thoroughly justified in being pissed off that something that affects your dd so much can be out f your control.

Good idea to talk to them, 2shoes.

Years ago I worked in SN schools. We sometimes shuffled our cases around because some were more stressful to work with than others - not something you want to hear neccesarily, but one of the schools I worked at had a lot of very aggressive parents and it just wasnt fair for the same therapist to have to deal with them for too long.

Nothing ventured nothing gained - if you dont tell them how you feel, they will never know, and may just assume you dont mind. Personally Id be flattered - Id be more worried if one of my parents said "Oh great, I fancied having a new physio anyway"

Its not stupid at all, ds2 has had a few physios, they all work differently & have slightly different approaches. It always takes me a while before I have confidence in them, unfair I know but usually I am comparing them to the last.
Also it is difficult for the children to get used to someone new, my ds hates being undressed in front of anyone & every time there is a change we have to start all over again with them learning his quirky ways.. the sort of things that aren't in his notes.

just realised that one of the reasons they have moved her might be because she is so friendly. a lot of the dc's at her school need a lot of input and react badly to change. dd will be fine. i asked her which she wanted. old phisio or new on that she could help. guess which one she chose
Also if you have a new phisio coming in you can't give her all the hard cases. so I suppose to be fair I am starting to come round.
It does help to read your replies as I can see the bigger picture. I was going to post on our school site but felt that I needed a more "general" view iynwim
