Moved to the U.K., need ADHD prescription asap

Hi! My family and I just moved to Richmond from the US. My eldest has been taking medication and will soon run out. We've just signed a lease so I can start the gp sign up process today- anyone know how I can go about getting his prescription going on the NHS asap? Anyone been through this moving from abroad?

My sons meds have to come through a paediatrician who sends script to gp. I'd phone gp practise and ask to speak to the gp. You need to check the type of med and brand your son takes available on the nhs too.
