Hi I have a 4 year old boy who has ASD. I don't have much help from family and his behaviour is getting bad to worse. Does anyone know what could be done I mean behaviour therapy or something. Also has anyone been to a place called brainwave? They charge £500 and asses your child over 2 days and put strategies and plans in place to try at home? I am getting desperate any help or advice is appreciated. Single mom and it's getting tough for me by the day. Thank you in advance

I hope DS doesn't see me as pushing his language development. But I see a lot of things... I see people taking advantage of children/adults because they can't speak and think they can get away with it. I see my DS get frustrated because he can't communicate or tell me what's wrong when his having a bad day.

PECS and basic speech and language therapy my DS didn't take a liking to . He enjoyed Makaton but it didn't do much. Once he discovered the use of high tec AAC, he latched on to it like a dog, seeing a consistent visual language allowed him to make sense of the world... his AAC device has allowed him to show us things we didn't know he even knew... his immensely proud of his device and carries it around with him everywhere. I hate to think if we didn't go through our speech and language journey then we wouldn't have discovered High tec AA's.

Though of course, every child is different.
