.......his teacher forgot! which sent him into a complete state as 1) it wasnt something he was prepared for
2) he couldnt even join in
3) the older kids kept asking them why they were wearing their uniform.

not sure if teacher really understood why ds1 was in floods of tears, and hope his class mates dont think he's too weird because of it! he hasnt been at the school long and am so desperate for him to fit in.

good news though, teacher felt so bad about it that they are going to have 2 mufti days next week instead (which we will jolly well write down on the calendar!). yay!

Aww! Poor ds.

Mufti days are a bit hit-and-miss here. Ds1 either loves them or gets so anxious about them that he feels physically sick. The trickiest was when Mr Literal refused to wear non-uniform because "Mrs X said it's for children in need and for poor children and I'm not poor."

I hope ds enjoys the 2 days next week. His teacher sounds great.

LOL at not wearing it as he isnt in need!!!!! thats just the kind of thing my younger AS ds would vcome out with.

his teacher is Wonderful. shes new to teaching and is very keen, she has read through all the AS books i gave her to look at over half term and has identified with several things in class that she is addressing- 3 and a half yrs at his old school and they refused to believe he was anything other than NT!!!!!

oh dear, it is a difficult one my DS likes to wear his uniform and so when it is wear what you want day, guess what he wants to wear!they did an odd shoe day once too this year they did a big day and you had to wear an item of your mum or dads, he wouldn't do that either!
DDs go to a SN school and if they can wear their own clothes they are so excited they are up and dressed at 4am.
