Hi, I am looking for a private ed pysch for my son. Ideally covering Cambridgeshire/norfolk/Suffolk, but happy to travel for the right person, but in some ways central London is easier than other directions.
My son has cerebral palsy, is in mainstream school. He saw an ed pysch about 3/4 years ago for his then statement but nothing since as he is not "bad" enough. His statement is very much about the physical adaptions, physio, ot. Rather than any learning. We know my son has a pvl and some brain damage, hence the Cp. We know he struggles with visual processing, but don't know what other educational methods might help him learn. Fir example phonics is rubbish as he struggles to "see" letter shapes as well as words. We think he may need other strategies too, but really no idea how to find out as he seems in the middle with his class,and keeps it ok. But the question is with how much effort.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
