Has anyone ever actually got through to IPSEA on the phone?

I've been calling every 3 or 4 minutes since they opened (allegedly) at 10:00am. I just get an automated voice saying "all our advisors are busy" or some such.

Is this normal? Am I likely to get through to them in my lifetime or should I just give up and be grateful I got as far as an automated voice?

The only time I've ever managed to get through to them was late morning (and that's after using speedial on repeat) or just after 2pm.

I do hope you can get through to them.

Yes I got through, eventually and then they always called me back with the advice and support I was after. They are good, just busy and understaffed, stick with it. I think I'm right in saying that staff work on a volunteer basis so not some hige office with a load of young girls all sat filing their nails ignoring the phones!

Thanks guys, I'll keep trying . The frustrating thing is they have no queueing system at all - you either get through or you don't. My "redial" finger may fall off....

i always get through to them on the 7-9 shift at night, usually either first or second time.

Thanks Jenk. I've given up for this afternoon - I lost count in the mid hundreds....

Do keep trying tommorow, I have I guess always been lucky and got through to them very quickly.

IPSEA are my heroes, they helped me to get a laptop for my son, he is 14 with aspergers, dyspraxia, dysgarphia and 'general' learning difficulties. His handwriting was appaling, and pre laptop he was predicted to either fail all his GCSEs or to scrape through with F's and G's

After the laptop arrived, well what a change ! He has just got the results of English coursework back and he has scored a c+ borderline B- !!
Cue extremely proud mum bawling down the phone to IPSEA telling them how much she loved them hehehe !!
