Inspiration needed - making a book for visually impaired children

Hi, I will be making a book for visually impaired children. It will be a cloth type book. The books made by others I have seen have been along the lines of various shapes, or counting 1 to 10 type books (ie, one straw, two laces, three buttons etc etc).

Anyone have ideas of what I could do, as said previously I will be sewing it, and everything in it has to be washable or waterproof (in case of spills).

thanks in advance

Animals - woolly sheep, furry cat, feathery bird, suede mouse etc. Fur & feather might have to be handwash only!

beaded basic braille?

Things that make lots of different noises? beans, crinkly stuff, rattle-type noises, a squeaker?
