Children with anxiety and ASD...and pets!

Just wondering how your little ones (ours is 6) get on with pets??!

DS (9) dislikes the cat and being autistic thinks that Cravendale advert where the cats steal a truck of milk is hard evidence that cats are evil megalomaniacs hellbent on world domination.

We have a cat to help our DD, she's an only child. She loves them and it was also recommended we get a pet to help her anxiety. She does love her but it's not been straight forward and we have to watch her behaviour with her!
