My son keeps licking me-why?!

Hi, this is my first post- I don't know all the short-hand yet!
My 5 year old boy (asd) keeps licking me-thought he'd grown out of it but has started again!Just curious about why he does it and wondered if anyone else gets this?

My 4 year old DS who also has an ASD DX also does this, his latest favourite thing to lick (well more touch with his tongue than lick) is radiators.

It always used to be white goods, washing machine, fridge, freezer, etc.

He also touches all food to his top lip before eating it aswell as rolling his food across his face cheeks etc.

Not just me that suddenly gets licked then!My boy also sniffs a lot of stuff too and is very sensitive to smells-he hates certain smells on his hands when eating e.g. school soap-after washing his hands!Nicer to talk about light hearted stuff sometimes-other things can be hard to cope with - need to cling on to a sense of humour!
