Has anyone had a child diagnosed with dyslexia in the late teens?

Dd is 18 and just coming to the end of her first year of A-levels. Her school have started to suspect she may be dyslexic which has stunned me as I can't understand how she could have got all the way through primary and secondary without school or myself noticing. I feel quite guilty tbh.
I feel like I need to do something but I don't know what I should be doing next!

No advice but just as an aside the happens a lot so don't feel guilty. Intelligent children find ways of covering it up.
an assessment would help but you may have to pay a private ep as a lot of school eps only do basic testing and reports which would t show anything up.
