Anyone who has a child with ASD willing to look at a video of my son?

Is there anyone with a child with ASD willing to look at a few short videos of my son which I think are him flapping when excited.
School finally recognising he has difficulties and has been referred to assessment but don't know whether to include these videos as evidence

Videos can be taken one way or another. There's an eithical question around filming and showing films to highlight behaviour.

Personally I've just taken films of ds doing everyday childhood things (playing etc) where I know it will highlight the issues.

I'd ask the people assessing if they feel it will be of benefit to see them and if they don't seem keen ask them to do an observation and make sure the observation includes him being a situation where you see the behaviours you want highlighted.

Just flapping doesn't necessarily mean ASD. My DSis used to flap when she was excited or thinking but has grown up without a trace of ASD (lots of friends, boyfriend, travels, no MH problems).

My two DSs on the other hand never flapped but both have been diagnosed with ASD - go figure!

No it isn't just flapping there are loads of other issues but this I have managed to get on video and thought might have been useful
