Hi
Not sure what to do, we have been getting DLA for my ADHD son for a long time, however we recently recieved a letter saying that follwing a form from his school that we were no longer able to claim!! I went into the school and was assured by the head of year that before anything gets filled in they have to contacts us, well I asked DLA for a copy of the report which I still havent received, now 3 weeks later the school has phoned to say they have just receieved and filled a form in for DLA but it was very lead and although he answered honestly, he thought he should let us know. He has since written us a letter detaiing the special help he gets in school for anger managment and also social skills etc.. but I have asked them to look at it again but the form filled in by the school was done after I asked for it to be looked at again. Its a nightmare, its bad enough having to fill the forms in anyway without this, My sons physchastrist (sp?) is soo angry and said there is no way they should have done ie, they havent contacted him. He is writing a support letter for us to. Has this happened to anyone else?? I dont know what to do I know they have lied. I am going to the CAB on thursday so hopefully they can help.

It sounds as though the DLA people have made a big mistake somewhere. Good luck with the appointment.xx

Hi all, just a quick update..
we went to the cab and the guy we say was very happy to take on our problems, he faxed them copies of letters from school teachers and the dr's, phys etc.. to support our claim. Well I phoned DLA today to see how long the appeal is going to take now, and to check they had received everything from cab, but guess what NO!! they said they had nothing and it our case is going in front of the person above the decision makers(?)today. Phoned the CAB and again he phoned them and told them that they told him they had it all, but they are deniying it, so he re-faxed today and sent another lot of hard copies. I am starting to think they have got in for me... WHY do they always say they haven't received things.... wish I could get this sorted..
