Aspergers revelation - just had to tell someone

As some of you know, DS recently was diagnosed with Aspergers. I ordered a copy of Tony Attwood's Complete Guide to Aspergers or whatever it is called & it has been such a revelation.
I understand so much better why my DS is the way he is. I can also see how very distinctly Aspergers he is & why the Child Psych was unequivical in her diagnosis.
In a bizarre way it has made me feel so much more positive for DS, because I can understand him better.
Just had to tell someone!

Getting a dx can be really helpful.

Yes, I remember reading Tony Attwood's book and knowing for sure that several of our DSs have Aspergers. (Two have since been diagnosed). Tony Attwood is very positive about the diagnosis as well I think, which helps.
