Wondering if anyone else has gone through the same thing.
Long story short my partner and myself believe that the way our son behaves and reacts to things that he needs support. We think he may be on the spectrum. Even tho we struggle ourselves with how to support him, we would do anything for him. Since his pre school referred him 15 months ago, we have jumped through many hoops. Hearing tests, observations, pedestrian appointment, child psychologist, health visitors, cahms and attending behavioural course ect. My son's pedestrian has said he has many 'quirky' behaviours and apparently had spoke to the SKATE team and leading us to believe we were waiting on an appointment to see them. After weeks of not hearing anything and finally getting hold of her, she now wants to speak again to cahms about a videoing my sons behaviour? (not sure the name they use) basically depending on the outcome of this he will then hopefully be assessed by the SKATE team for diagnosed but I'm starting to think we are still a long way of and they our going to mess us about more! I'm just so frustrated! we just want support for our son or information on how we can support him better! Has anyone else gone through this?

It sounds to me as if you are doing all that you realistically can at the moment - I suspect you have fallen foul of NHS bureaucracy and the fact that the paediatrician is probably chronically overworked. The only thing I can think of is paying for a private assessment, but it would be pretty expensive.
