Think my son loves his SALT more than me....

My ds has been g-r-u-m-p-y all day. Didnt sleep for more than 20 mins at a time last night so I thought he'd sleep today but decided to stay awake and be grupmy instead. Had a joint SALT and portage appointment whch I though would be a waste of time except..........he turned into this happy, interactive little boy. banging drums and pulling silk off his head and tracking brillantly. Think they though I was making his bad mood up!!!

Then they both walk out the door and he starts moaning again. I think my ds has had enough of me and loves his SALT more

Well at least it wasn't a waste of time . You know next time he will be happy and cheerful all day and turn into a little demon when the SALT arrives . I should think you are feeling pretty grumpy yourself if were up half the night also. I hope you do better tonight .

You may like to know that I can entrance a roomful of babies during my singing and signing sessions,but when i do it at home,my kids scream at me to stop and run away!

moondog, would you say that sing and sign would be good for a baby that wouldnt be able to really take part actively but would actively listen I guess as he loved Music (even my voice singin 'twinkle twinkle' just calmed him. Do you have babies like that at your sessions- the ones that just lay there and take it all in....?

thing is I dont think ive time for any extra classes but I might find out!

Our babies start at about 5 months Lou.
The younger the better,as language concepts develop way beofre a child says his first words.

The dvds are great with explanatory booklets andthe woman who does it really knows her stuff.
(She isn't anythiong to do with me btw!)
