Hi, thanks for saying hello. DS is at nursery sometimes. Hes off at the moment as hes got whooping cough. Docs are stumped again, hes had all his injections. Hes managed to have chicken pox 3 times. Hes been living on jelly the last few days, all he will eat the moment.

Hi MMMax and Melanie. I have two sons: DS1 who's 5 and has a few dyspraxic /AS traits but I think is basically NT (for now!) and DS2 (4) who has autism. Welcome to MN - I agree with Tobysmum that it's the best source of info anywhere!

Melaniec234 · 07/02/2007 14:40

Hi, thanks for all the welcome hells from everyone. Nice to know that im not the only mum in this situation. Even though at times i feel like this. Does anyone know how i would go about getting a gluten test done for my DS. Ive heard gluten free diets are supposed to help, is this true? Also my DS suffers from really bad constipation, at the moment hes on sodium picsofulate, which doc says is strong. Is this common in asd kids?

Hi Melaniec and mymatemax
I have a ds who is 6 with lots of asd traits but no dx. Welcome to MN - I have had more support and good advice from the people here than any of the many professionals who have been involved with ds in the last 2 years.

amynnixmum · 07/02/2007 14:45

I also have a dd who is 8 and NT(sorry dd)
