Advice for Home schooling special education needs please

Hi my ds has just turned 5yrs and has just started mainstream school and my other children are doing really good in the school , but my ds is finding it difficult, we have just got an EHCP for him and i was just wondering if anybody has home schooled there special needs child and how to go about it and how easy is it to do .

There is a home ed board on MN in the education bit.

My Dd3 is Home ed and has asd. We have slipped into a more "unschooling" or autonomous method of home ed as opposed th school at home.
