Education options for intelligent asd girl?

My dd was recently diagnosed with asd. She's 7. She's very intelligent and does well academically. But the person who assessed her said she must find school very stressful (dd says she does) and suggested we look at other options.

What options are there? I'm near Berkshire/Bucks/oxon area.
I can only think:
Sn school
Home school
Private mainstream

Are there other options? How do you decide what's best?

Hello DD is currently being assessed for Aspergers and has found school incredibly stressful for last 3 years. We've just changed to a smaller school with good SENCO & pastoral care in the hope things would improve, although in the short term it is much harder for DD (she's 8).
I was told that there is an option for part time home school. I haven't yet pursued this option as I'm waiting to see what happens at the new school. Do you have an education advisory service where you are?

Hi my dd is 7 and at the end of the assessment process for asd/Aspergers - awaiting the final multi agency meeting but she is def asd and already has input from special advisory teacher for asd etc. We are in the same situation - academically very able but struggles with anxiety, refusal and demand avoidance so this leads to aggressive outbursts. She also has massive social problems. She is currently in a very large primary and I am debating looking for a smaller school for her As we also have issues with the head at this one - a long story! The ed psych and sat advised against a special school due to her cognitive ability and think she should be in mainstream. The school want rid of her... We Are getting an ehcp. Bear in mind many private schools do not offer support in the way la schools do and will often try and charge u extra for it. I would say either home school or mainstream is your best bet X

You could always look at school from home, Brite school is for primary age children, Interhigh for secondary age children

When we reached the end of the line with a DD similar to yours we placed her at Interhigh and it's been fantastic

Lots of kids like ours so they fit in, EHCP will fund the place and some LA's are now making it part of their local offer
