Can Sn babies be more sleepy...?

This may be a stupid question or blantently obvious.....?!

Do SNbabies generally need more sleep than Nt ones. I know all babies are different and need differing amounts anyway but I just wondered what your thoughts were!!!

He is still having IS and I know the side effect of med can make him sleepy however I was reading something y'day that mentioned that sn children tend to need more sleep. I had never thought about it like that before...?!

I think it must depend on the SN. Ds1 and ds2 hardly slept at all. Ds1 as a newborn probably slept for about 6 hours out of every 24 - and that was usually in 20-30min naps.

I believe that babies with ASD can be either very sleepy/compliant or the opposite. DS was the opposite, hardly slept, cried non stop etc. But other people I know had babies (who turned out to have ASD) who were so quiet, sleepy and compliant that they thought they had it made!
