Ideas of things to do to help my son over the holidays please?

My DS (7) has aspergers and dyspraxia. He is very good at reading but his latest school report has highlighted that his comprehension is not great (we are obviously aware of this!) and it has been highlighted as a particular worry going into KS2.

We obviously discuss books - what's happened, what he thinks will happen - but I was wondering if anyone has any other ideas of how can try and advance him during the holidays.

Thanks for any advice.

Had sometimes still have the same issue. Ds is 10 encourage reading for fun, get him to ask you questions, what is his sense of humor like get the answer wrong on purpose. Go with what he is interested doesn't matter what it is we're presently reading about lifts it's fascinating 'not!!'
We had some success with plays for children from the library, short and sharp can pretend to be different people use odd voices etc
Good luck relax and enjoy
