How do you apply to the family fund ??

Seems all my friends receive monies from the family fund. I have only found out about it. anyone tell me what you have to do to apply? Do you need a social worker or do you apply directly?

You can apply directly to them.

When I last applied (about 18mths ago so it might have changed since then) you had to contact them for an application form. You sent the form back (including a general list of things you would like) and later they arranged for someone to visit you at home. You had to have your financial stuff ready, eg bank statements, pay slips etc for the person to look through. After that they discussed with you what you wanted to ask for and sent in your requests. You then get a reply telling you which things you will be given money for, eg washing machine, holiday, driving lessons etc.
