Hi all, my DS who is 4 and has ASD is due his DPT booster and I am worrying about the link to Thermisol (sp?) in this and if it could make him regress? I have read somehwere to make sure it is the DPaT which is something about it not being a "live" vaccine. Can anyone give me any info to stop me thinking about this and just getting it done!! Many thanks, Nikki.

thimerosal is no longer in regular paediatric jabs in the UK. (at last they removed it- should have done it years ago).

Many thanks Jimjams, you always come to my rescue! Was it yourself I had the discussion with about link to this and bowel conditions that run in the family. Just looking back over DS notes and he had the DPT (thermisol sp?) vaccines in 02, with bad reactions afterwards. Also, family history (sister, auntie etc) with severe bowel conditions (ulcerative colitis), sort of seeing a link now. Anyway, sorry to babble, thanks once again for your advice. Nikki.

YW- good luck with whatever you decide. Never easy (dammed if you do and if you don't!)
