Eeekkkkkkkk

It is a friend of hers from the unit so not sure why I am so nervous. He has been to play here and now dd has been asked.
I feel so nervous all of a sudden. The mum just rang and I said yep fine but I think 2 hours will be enough and she said let's see.
I keep thinking what if she can't wipe herself properly, or makes a mess.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I am being silly as her friend has similar SN to dd.

What is wrong with me, why am I so anxious?

Your friend's mum will know exactly what she is in for. She will enjoy herself. The mum wouldn't have offered if you didn't want to. Don't frettle about it.

Bless you. So pleased she has a playdate. It'll be fine and you're being normal.

Really pleased for your dd, Blossomhill! Quite understandable that you're anxious, though - it's a big event for her and for you. But it sounds ideal in terms of going to a house where your dd's needs will be well understood.

If it's any consolation, my absolutely nt DS2 went on a playdate to someone house recently and asked his friend's mum to wipe his bottom ! I was so mortified!

blossomhill · 09/01/2007 21:20

Dino ~ lol at ds2. That's the thing isn't it, kids will be kids!

I don't know why I am so anxious as her friend's parents are so happy that their son now has a friend. Infact there are 3 of them and we call them the muskateers
Funny how all the sn kids stick together isn't it? I think they just feel more at ease with each other

I do hope it goes well(which it will)

blossomhill · 09/01/2007 21:22

Thanks 2shoes, I hope so. It's just letting go isn't it? I find that quite hard but am getting better.

how exciting, bet you are more nervous than DD. i have been moved to tears when kids started getting play dates, i don't think perents with just NT kids quite understand why i end up in tears they probably think i am a bit wierd

blossomhill · 10/01/2007 07:38

Sounds weird but I would be so much more nervous if her friend didn't have sn as well. Makes me feel mor esafe iykwim

2shoes I keep trying to and it won't let me! I have almost given up to be honest. Not sure what the problem is but it doesn't like my email address!

Infact the mum noted how similar dd and her ds is, so let's hope dd has found a little soul mate
