Can anyone help?
Website states that a letter from a consultant dated within the last 6 months is required stating clearly that the child cannot queue.

However, waiting lists to see consultants are more than 6 months long and this rule fails to take into consideration most kids are diagnosed and then discharged so despite inability to queue, don't actually HAVE a consultant.

DLA isn't considered to be enough. I have a statement of SEN from 2012 which is quite detailed about ds' difficulty queuing and with attention etc. but it won't be updated until the EHCP transfer.

Professionals don't just appear for your service because you need to access a rollercoaster ffs!

I'd say the most recent consultant letter plus the most recent DLA award confirmation to confirm issues are current. They also accept blue badges (if you have one).

The most recent consultant letter was 2008, came with a diagnosis and a discharge.

We don't have a consultant. ASD is lifelong and they didn't think he needed another appointment ever, apparently.

Yes appreciate that - so take that. Along with most recent DLA confirmation to show its current.
