Great news Jenk xx

jenk1 · 30/12/2006 19:32

i had a doc come and see me last year misdee, they just ask you questions like, toileting, eating, drinking, dressing, washing etc, but they try and trip you up by asking you the same questions in a different way.

Great news Jenk!

Well done Jenk - things are looking up for you - I keep getting told that I can't get mobility for DS2 until he is 5 which is really p*ing me off as we are mostly housebound because of him. How did you manage it.

Good News for you too Misdee.

misdee · 01/01/2007 11:25

jenks dd has cerebal palsy and cant walk i think m2a.

under 5 (3-5) they have to be virtually immoble i think. silly rule, as some people get it before 5 for ASD stuff, whilst others dont.

mummy2aaron · 01/01/2007 11:34

Aaahhh thanks Misdee. I understand now.

coppertop · 01/01/2007 15:57

LOL at the Rule of Davros still going strong.

Excellent news about dd's claim, Jenk.

I sent ds1's renewal off just before Christmas so it will be interesting to see whether the rule still holds.

mummy2aran

DD has CP but she can walk, but not far, she only takes a few steps and then either falls or sits down.

I got the Cerebra DLA handbook and used it to help me fill the forms in, it covers CP, ASD,ADHD,ADD learning disabilities, speech and language disorders, social and communication disorders, everything, its absolutely brilliant.

I got it from cerebra.org.uk, its free, im going to use it to reapply for DS as he only gets low rate and from what it says in there he is entitled to more.

HTH
