Just a mini rant.

Dh has a group of new carers. He now has a young lad as his main carer. He started in monday, did the whole day, and had yesterday off as Peter was at clinic.

Well, the carer had a scooter accident yesterday and has busted his leg up [sock] so he cant come in for a few weeks at least, could be ages, as the job does involve some lifting occasionally.

I know its not his fault, and i hope he gets back on his feet soon, but why now? why why? We are going to end up with the bad one again arent we? I lost 4 hours today as they had no-one to cover all the hours, so even though it will tacked onto another day, it messed up my afternoon.

mini rant over.

Oh shit.

Why are people so inconsiderate

seriously though, i reckon its normal to be a bit miffed at the timing. your not angry that he hurt himself, just at the fact that it happened NOW and that it messes up your plans.

that fair enough

what it is, if i have to take dd2 into town i can placete her by promising a glass of milk and a muffin at the end of it all. and because i had to cram 3 hours worth of stuiff in town into 1.5hours, she didnt get her usual routine in town. and she ended up in a twirling mess and very stressed. it gets very stressful for me as well, and i dont enjoy going out when she gets like that.

OH NO- that's awful! Really hope you get something sorted. Those few hours are so precious. (Hope the guys leg mends ok etc as well of course, but really know the feeling of being desperate for a few hours).

It's so difficult when its snatched hours isn't it. Especially now when everything is busy and it takes twice as long to get anywhere/do anything.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 21/12/2006 00:02

i had to go pick up dd3 glasses as well, which is fine as they have a box of puzzles under the seats, and usually dd2 gets enough time to do one of the puzzles whilst dd3 gets her glasses fitted etc, but because we were in such a rush she couldnt even do that.

so she tried to lob a bag of straw beddign for the animals over the railings on the first floor of the shopping centre.

it wasnt actually that busy in town, which is surprising, i was expecting it to be packed.
