Can you do part time ABA therapy around mainstream school? Any recommendations for ABA tutor/consultant in Birmingham?

Hi

My 6 year old son has been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism (moderate) and ADHD. Despite an average IQ he is extremely behind at school and they are not providing any 1-1 support.

Im considering ABA. He hasnt had any therapy previously.

Has anyone done a mixture of part time ABA and part time mainstream school? The school seemed to be against this idea.

Can anyone recommend an ABA tutor or consultant in the Birmingham/ Warwickshire area?

Thank you for your help x :)

I see this is an old post, so hopefully you have found a solution. Yes, ABA alongside mainstream is very common. Ideally, you want the school to talk to / coordinate with the ABA team, but I know this is not obvious.
Try posting on VBCommunity.org.uk; you can find a qualified ABA professional on BACB website.
