My ds has a dx of Asperger's he is 9 in year 4 he is in a mainstream primary on school action plus. He has sensory issues and ADHD has been mentioned in my hearing. He struggles to learn due to anxiety, poor focus and poor fine motor skills. I have been looking at different schools for him and have been offered a place at a private specialised school. Starting on June 1st if we want it, I had thought September start. Really don't know what to do?

Has he already done taster or a trial? Would you be paying yourself or is he going there placed by the LA?

Paying done a two day trail. We've decided September between us love him

Well there's only half a term left anyway, you could ask the independent if he could do a couple more days before the end of term to integrate him better for September, I guess you could also cut short the end of term where he is if you feel he's not coping at his present school, especially now that you have a new placement sorted. Hope it goes well

Many Thanks. Trouble seems to come in peaks on a good ran at moment. Hoping he can do one day a week at new setting he's really excited about moving. He did ask 'what disease have I got' as had seen their paperwork dyslexia, dyspraxia, speech and language difficulties, or autism. We had a good chat about autism he asked 'is that why I talk SO much' bless him
