Dyslexia Action or other tuition courses

I am looking for good dyslexia courses/tuition for a 10 year old child, particularly to help with his writing and organisation. The Dyslexia Action one looks good but will work out to £800 for 14 weeks. Is that a reasonable rate? Have people had a good experience with them? Are there better courses? This is a load of money for us.

Son has dx of dyslexia, dyspraxia and Hypermobility syndrome.

It depends what you are expecting from this course. What does it offer in the way of outcomes? How may hours per week does it cover? Dyslexia Action is only as good as its teachers and varies from one area to another so you need to say where this one is.
A specialist private tutor who will charge from £20-£30 per hour is another option.

I think private tuition might be a better option. It could be tailored more precisely to your child, and could go on as long as she needs. Nothing is guaranteed, but a private tutor worked wonders with my dyslexic DD.

Can you tell us more about the Dyslexia Action tuition courses?

What, where, how, who will?

writing and organisation?

What does it offer in the way of outcomes?
