Delays with issuing EHCP paperwork in West Sussex

We had verbal confirmation that my son would be issued with an EHCP just before Easter. Have still not had any paperwork. According to West Sussex Local Offer website they are delayed in processing paperwork and are not meeting deadlines. Is anyone having similar problems and is there any recourse other than sitting and waiting? It's doing my head in!

The deadline are statutory - they must do it. They may well have problems that is their problem not yours. Say if you do not get the information you will seek formal legal advice to Judicially Review the LA for their failure to meet statute.

Ask SOS SEN to send a formal letter threatening Judicial review. If they're going to issue an EHC Plan they should have produced a draft around 16 weeks after you first requested an assessment, and they should have finalised it within 20 weeks.
