He's being assessed today by a special ed expert? My DH spoke to her this morning and she said she'll try visual aids to get him to change from one thing to another as that's the main problem they're having at pre school. Plus a bit of hitting but that's calmed down. She said she'll come weekly for a month then do a report and if needed he'll see a specialist. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it and to top it off DS2 fell out of bed twice so he won't be in the best of moods today

Best of luck, Juniper. Hopefully by seeing him over a few weeks she'll be able to get a fuller picture rather than just basing everything on how he is on one particular day.

Good luck juniper, let us know how things go.

thanks for wishing us luck. I spoke to his keyworker and the leader of the group afterwards. She said DS2 uses his eyes a lot to try to tell you things. But at home he talks a lot. I mentioned that I'd taken him for 2 sessions of cranial osteopathy and had noticed a difference and his keyworker said she'd noticed this week that he'd been much calmer. Plus he usually gets the buggy and won't let anyone have it but he just followed a girl round today until she'd finished with it

I helped out at pre school again yesterday. I noticed that DS2 was the only one who echos speech. when I or his keyworker asked him Qs he just repeated them. I hadn't noticed how pronounced this is until then. He played well though and was hit by another boy with a toy car and didn't respond, whereas not long ago he'd have gone ballistic.
