Any parent or carer can find it hard to know how to support their child’s education.
For parents and carers of a child presenting with an ASD this can be even harder. You need to know how to do lots of things that other children’s parents don’t need to know how to do.
TouchBase121
- is the project of a PhD research student from Brunel University.
Aims:
• To give parents and carers somewhere they can to learn more about ASD and different educational support strategies
• To give parents and carers somewhere they can talk and share ideas-121- with other parents/carers of children with an ASD who attend a mainstream primary school
The design of this research is to make parental involvement a positive and easy experience where parents can get and share advice about educational issues and make new friends.
