Anyone in Westminster who sought ASD diagnosis?

I have asked my HV to refer my son for an ASD assessment. She wasn't very helpful and said we will get an appointment from a CAMHS centre on our borough. I don't know who will be seeing him or what the process is. What was your experience? Should I ask for a referral to a developmental paed?

Yes definitely ask for a referral to a developmental ped, they speed things up very quickly and they also test your child for other things too.

I didn't bother going to my GP, I just asked my speech therapist to refer DS to the developmental ped.
