ADHD and threats of violence

My dd is 9 years old and is increasing telling me she hates me, is going to punch me, kick me, KILL me, kick me out of the house etc when she is cross. This can be at home or in public. does anyone have any experience of this and also any advice. I am disciplining her for the behaviour but ignoring the language used.

Thank you for reply.She is on an educational statement at school but doesn't show any sign of this behaviour at school It is mainly towards me and sometimes she will kick or hit me but rhis is very rare.I am going into school tomorrow to chat to them as I'm worried about where she has got the killing from but not sure where else to turn.Will look into those books and websites though thank you.

ds says these things often when he is cross. it is his way of emphasising how angry he is.

still working on the appropriate responses though. usually reflect back to him that he sounds very cross/upset/sad and ermm... wing it from there..

must read more about it when I have that thing people call time
