the dds were playing with dd1's trainers and now one of her orthotics is missing. I have looked in all the cupboards, toy box, laundry baskets, bags, even combed the garden around the deck area - no luck!!

Any other suggestions?? Not in the Loo cause the door was shut.

AM giving it a week in case it was lost at kindy on Friday and I did not see when I put her shoes on to come home

Othewise - two trips to hosp to get recast and another one made!!

So cross - little monkeys.

Oooh, this is my nightmare scenario! Window box? Toyboxes / dolls beds? bottom of wardrobes or drawers? dressing up box? laundry basket, bathroom cupboard / airing cupboard....

no window box
done the toy box and doll's bed
did the laundry basket

will perservere - live in hope - had been trying to locate a toy table leg I had taken away from dd2 who was terrorising dd1 with it - so I live in hope that just as the table leg turned up the orthotic will....

usually the shoes are away and I think dd2 ( who loves anyone's shoes) decided to wear them around the house..... so could be anywhere.

Give them the other orthotic to play with and see where they put it!!!

no way - can't afford to lose that one too - will probably have to pay for replacement - very expensive.

Living in a house where shoes are lost on a daily basis I usually find them:

down the back of the sofa
under the trampoline
in/behind the wastepaper bin (!)
in the basket under dd's pushchair
under a beanbag
under the table

I hope it turns up asap.

I knew a kid who took his off and put it in the bin when he came home from school - his mum took it out each evening and wiped it down ready for the next day. Hope you find it!

checked the dirty nappy bag - but if it went in the bin bin - it is gone - rubbish collected yesterday. Did look though. Thanks for those suggestions - will keep hunting.

On the rare occasions I move my settee I find all sorts of stuff that ds has shoved under there. Not sure what orthotics look like but could they have put it inside any other shoes by mistake to do think?

Hope you find it soon. I recently spent days looking for the tv remote control so I know how frustrating it can be.

thanks for all your ideas - have searched and searched and no luck - so off to ring the hospital and see if I can sneak in a visit next week when I am there for my 20 week scan - and get another one cast [sigh]
