This is my bug bear. On DD's statement in part 3 it states copies of lesson notes/power points should be provided to DD to reflect and re read. She is in yr9 now and still we repeat asking this to happen. Emailed SENCO last week and this is the response 'DD has been provided with copies of power points/notes to suppliment work in book'.
We have had non this school year, and I am getting tired of having to research and re teach DD for her to keep up.
How do I word somethinkg back without using the words 'you are lying' !!

How about this - emailed direct to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER teachers AND the SENCO

"Dear All
As I hope you all know, dd must, by law, be provided with copies of notes and any power points for ALL lessons. This is to supplement the notes that she is able to take herself, and to ensure that she has a good set of notes to revise from for the exams.

Obviously, I know you would all want her to exam results to reflect her ability, rather than her disability in note-taking. She is entitled to a fair crack at the exams, and of course, homework and tests as well.

As we have had so few/no notes since [insert date] I am wondering if my suggestion would help: Could all power-points and teacher's notes/lesson plans be sent directly to me by email? I can then assemble an electronic file for dd at home.

If this does not work for the balance of this term, then we will have to revisit the option of each member of staff providing photocopies each week to be sure that we have a system that is embedded and working smoothly as the GCSE work increases through this calendar year.

Please do let me know if there is anything else that you think might help.
With many thanks for your support and co-operation"

Obviously adapt/ignore as you think is right

Good Luck
