...but I know lots of people don't look there. I'm a regular Mumsnetter, honestly, and I'm writing an article on children/babies who, because of autism or ADHD or other conditions, have long-standing sleep problems. It's for Junior Pregnancy and Baby (I'm doing several related articles on sleep for the same issue!). If anyone would be prepared to talk to me about their experiences - you wouldn't be quoted using your real name if you didn't want to - I'd be very, very grateful. I have, incidentally, written a fair bit on autism, disability and special needs (and long ago I used to work for one of the learning disability charities) so I do have some background knowledge.

I have a friend who has a 9 year old son with autism (so do I come to that ) but either she or her husband HAS to sleep with their son every night! He is hyperactive, still wears nappies and, if not watched closely, will take the nappy off and...... Would you like me to ask her? I think her situation is one of the most extreme I've come across so far
