Just had wheelchair services around to assess ds2 for a proper wheelchair. The woman brought one for him to sit in, and he loved it, but omg, it was sooo hard seeing him sitting there. Fighting back the tears big time I was.

Anyway, she is ordering him one, so we should have it by summer.

He was really proud of himself, and even managed to self propel himself backwards and forwards with a huge grin on his face, but it is a real smack in the face iyswim. He will cope better than me I know. I wonder how I will cope by the reactions of others to him?

Nothing worth adding really, except big hugs for you and for him. He's so adorable, but of course we can understand your sadness. I'm so glad he loved it, and I agree with everyone else- people will notice the gorgeous child with the life just shining out of him, not the chair.

What gorgeous kids you have Lou......had to have a peek and, i must admit, you look a bit of a babe too!! I would need a full makeover to put myself on a website!! 4 kids must be exhausting and you should be VERY proud of yourself.

Lol re the comments about me. Every time I go there and see it I think OMG! I keep meaning to take it off, I hate seeing myself in pictures.

Thanks again for all your positive comments. He is a great kid (they all are), and he does seem to charm the birds out of the trees. I hope we manage to help him keep his outlook and confidence as he grows.

Lou - what lovely photos. Rory looks so happy whatever he's doing - bless him! I too noticed his smile when he was sitting in the wheelchair.

You've got a lovely family there. xx
