Today I received a letter from the DWP stating that from last week my Carer's Allowance will be deducted from Income Support, effectively meaning that sum (£61.35 a week) is now gone. That's quite a big hit for me financially, and I'm panicking a bit here!
I'm not working yet, though I volunteer two days a week while my son is at his placement. I will call them later, but does anyone know why this has happened?
