I've noticed that my 6 year old nephew is a strange little character. He has an awkward walk, he walks with his head down, his arms awkwardly tightened into his sides and his steps are a little bouncy. He is fascinated by car number plates, wrestling and dogs. He's like an encyclopedia when it comes to certain subjects. He also 'stims' a lot, hand flapping, spinning in circles, swaying side to side when standing and when he's sitting he rocks himself. He hates loud noises, he will normally cover his ears and rocks when he hears them. He doesn't have meltdowns though. He's very much in his own world. When it comes to socialising he doesn't make much eye contact and he finds it difficult to speak to kids his age, but can speak a little easier to adults. He likes cuddles but will get unsettled if he's had enough.
