i am sooooooooo lucky

i am led here with my 5 mth old niece (who has been up all night but i dont care) she has cp and a heart condition which docs have said she only has weeks/months left to live (that was 2 wks ago) anyway i had my niece overnight for the first time (i was worried as she has to have so many drugs) and have had the best night ever have got lots of cuddles and kisses (dont think she liked my bed though as she has been sick on it 3 times)she is asleep now but i feel blessed to have done this
i am to be her godmother next sunday so i'm doubly blessed
just thought i would share my thoughts with you

dmo, just to echo what others have said - how lucky your niece and her parents are to have someone like you!
Jimjams, I read that website and it was wonderful but very sad in the end, but the baby's life was so celebrated and filled with love.

been to hosp today twice she is lots better but still got a temp so they are keeping her in

good news

niece has been to alder hey today to see the heart specialist and he has said there is no change
which means it hasnt swelled bigger but it isnt better
but doctor said it hasnt grown at the rate he first thought
they are going to x-ray every 2 mths (that sounds hopeful) and hopefully they may find a pattern that they could operate on

so pleased feeling very happy today thank you for all your thoughts you never know it could have been our prays that helped
