Blackpool Pleasure Beach - ride access pass?

We are thinking of visiting the Pleasure Beach during half term when we will be in the area - looking at the website it seems they have a ride access pass for those unable to queue - anyone used it? We have Merlin passes so know the score with the ride access passes at Alton Towers / Legoland / Chessington -
I'm a bit worried that it says only disabled person and carer can ride, we are a family of four who want to enjoy the park together, if that is the case it's no point us going. I have sent an email to BPB but they don't seem to be in a hurry to reply.

We have only been once for the same reason, they will only let the disabled person and carer ride. It isn't a patch on Merlin.

They make it into a big song and dance to get a pass as well.
