My original claim for dla for my son was in May 2013. We ended up going to tribunal for it Aug 5 2014 and I won low rate care. I was told by the court to wait for dla to pay me before I let child tax know. So on Sept 8 dla paid me back to May 2013. I called child tax and they said I will get 31 days backpay but I should have told them by Sept 5 to have received back pay to May 2013. I explained I was not paid by dla until Sept 8 and they said I still should have told them. So they sent my request for backpay for child tax to May 2013 to the head tax office but I called Friday and they said still nothing happening.
do you think I will get this?
Do you know how long it will approx take?
and do you have any idea how much I can expect? I get the maximum full amount of child tax now. The man at the court seemed to think I would be owed between 4000-5000 pounds but that seems very high.
