Sorry, not regarding my disabled ds, but his NT brother - can't imagine more knowledgable bunch than here!

Ds said they are choosing this year GSCE subjects, I am wrecked with guilt cause I only started researching the system yesterday (not British) and it's SO complicated.

I was so wrapped up in battling for his brother and ds seemed doing fine... Well from what I understand it depends on which 'set' the children are at subjects, since it determines what GSCE they can take?

Ds is in top for Maths but bottom for English, he never liked reading much, struggled with spelling, at the end of Year 8 he was 5A - I thought this is average, but than he wouldn't be in bottom set...

So please what resources can I show him to do, he is prepared to work hard :).

And is it possible to let's say get A for Maths and C for English, or are the core subjects somehow interlinked?

Thanks!
