What scooter to buy? Maxi micro or iscoot pro v2?

I'm looking for a scooter for DD age 9. She already has a two wheel one but struggles and I would like something she can play with properly and enjoy.

I'm thinking of the iscoot as it's cheaper than the maxi micro and seems to be very similar design etc. Can anyone recommend what your DC use?

We have the iScoot, my 7 year old is able to manage it much better than his two wheeler.

I've only had a quick play with the maxi micro scooter in a shop but I think it is lighter than the iScoot, and quite possibly better quality. We have had to repair ours a couple of times. If/when we need to replace I think we'll spend the extra on the micro.

We have so many preschoolers using mini micro scooters in the playground at pick up time that DS has had some children asking why he still uses a baby scooter though. I usually tell kids because it's easier to balance he can go faster and now he'll tell them himself so he can go faster.

The other thing i can't seem to find a definite answer is up to what age are they suitable for 12yrs or adult?

My 9 yr old has a maxi micro, I can ride it I am 5 2 and just under the weight limit! The handle height is aadjusts,my 12 ans 14 yr olds still ride one them.

Maybe the maxi micro is the way to go then. I've been looking in eBay and they seem to hold their price well, hoping to buy second hand but not much point if only saving a bit and I wont have a guarantee etc.

What is the weight and height limit?

we have the maxi micro and imo it is worth every penny. my dd has dcd and is very clumsy and this has been the only scooter that has survived the constant knocks and damage. dd is 8 and very tall and hasnt got it at the highest height setting yet. im hoping it will last her at least another few years.

We have the maxi micro and it's been a brilliant investment. We got it when ds outgrew his mini micro. He has hyper mobility and sensory-based motor difficulties and would really struggle with any other type of scooter. Think the weight limit is 50kg which annoyingly means I can't ride it home after dropping him at school .

Thank you all again. Maxi micro is a must then, would rather spend the extra £££ and hope it will last. I just hope DD will like it and she's smaller than average due to chronic disease so should last a few years.

Maxi micro scooter is a must. Yes, the are more expensive but worth every single penny!! You will get your money's worth over and over! DD has ridden hers constantly since 2.5 and still loves it!

Another vote for Maxi micro. I got my almost 11 yr old one at Christmas and it's fine for him. I got it from a German website and saved about £20 (including delivery) doing it this way.

zen very tempted to buy the pink one. How long did it take to arrive?

Think it arrived within 7-10 days. There were no probs at all with delivery and they let me know when it had been sent etc.
